Fludes Carpets

Brief

To devise and implement a marketing action plan that would build upon the successful brand name of Fludes Carpets, assist with ongoing promotional activities and launch the celebrations of their 80yr of trading.

We also looked at providing the client with a consistent design theme throughout all of their marketing collateral and advertising.

Solution

We initially held a marketing workshop with the key personnel from Fludes Carpets. This enabled us to examine, question and discuss the Company’s positioning, commercial and financial objectives – providing us with a framework form which we could base the marketing action plan. We also reviewed previous marketing activities and future promotional ideas.

Once the marketing action plan had been written and agreed upon we identified several key activities to focus upon.

  • Celebrate the 80th yr of trading
  • Customer and local employee loyalty programme
  • Designing and producing a brochure for promotional activities
  • Producing a consistent design theme for all marketing collateral

To celebrate the 80th yr of trading we created an icon, based on a roll of carpet. The icon draws upon core elements of the brands positioning - tradition and reliability. This icon then proceeded to be used in the production of re-designed marketing collateral including; a store brochure and stationery stock of: letterheads, business cards and compliment slips. In addition, a number of successful marketing activity materials were refreshed, to include a recommend a friend voucher, loyalty discount certificates and posters targeted at employer benefit schemes in the region.

The final commission was visual merchandise, in the form of vinyl window wraps throughout 7 stores, showcasing the 80th year icon imagery. In addition, we publicised the 80th year celebrations with a series of targeted advert designs and press releases; gaining successful coverage throughout the Sussex region, which assisted with an increase in footfall figures.
